Methyl cellulose

Methyl cellulose is a water-soluble non-ionic cellulose ether with unique hot gelling properties. Methyl cellulose is widely used as a colloidal protective agent, emulsifier, dispersant, stabilizer and so on. It has been reported that methylcellulose has been used in media (to improve viscosity properties), colony formation analysis, sperm motivity assessment, globular formation, AGAR bead preparation, etc.
