Linda Nolan Ph.D. Managing Director
I set up the company on 2009 having worked in scientific sales and business devlepment for almost 10 years. My science career started out at Waterford Institute of Technology in 1989 when I embarked on my Diploma in Biotechnology. Following on from this I completed my B.Sc. in Biological and Environmental Science at the University of Glamorgan. For the next two years I worked in Industry and returned to Waterford Institute of Technology in 1996 to undertake a Ph.D. Once my Ph.D. was completed I gained employment with Medical Supply Company here in Ireland and worked as a sales representative. Working there for 2 years I received product training in the States and Asia on various scientific instrumentation used in Life Science research as well as biological research reagents.
I moved to work at Labplan Ltd in 2002 until 2006, there I worked in business development and was Product manager for the Beckman Coulter Life Science Research Instrumentation range. Having acquired the Bioline agency some years ago
I left to set up MyBio with a vision of establishing a niche application driven company with a personalised approach to individual research project needs. I wanted to establish a resource for where the scientist can source the latest technologies in scientific reagents with full and competent technical support for their applications.
Eva Campion Ph.D. Chief Scientific Officer
Eva was awarded an honours degree in Biotechnology from DCU in 2003. Following this she received her Ph.D. in 2008 from the laboratory of Dr. Dermot Walls where she investigated the role of the Epstein-Barr virus in the repression of the pro-apoptotic bik gene. From 2008 to 2010 Eva was the lead research scientist and an EI postdoctoral fellow for an industrial collaboration involved in the development, optimisation, validation and commercialisation of novel veterinary diagnostic assays. Eva's research career has given her a strong background in molecular biology, virology and diagnostics, with considerable experience in both microbiology and mammalian cell culture techniques. Eva's role with MyBio allows her to use this knowledge to offer high-level technical support to all of our customers.
